Rural Outreach

A lot of untapped artistic skills looms in our (rural areas) villages. There are a lot of talented disadvantaged widows, disabled and other vulnerables who have amazing artistic talents. Aauwena arts has reached out to this community. it designs, orders, and collect from this community hence uplifting their standards. Not only does aauwena care about arts to this community but also care for their health whenever it can. Emphasis is mainly targeted to the rural marginalised women. The founder having grown up in Chimanimani where a project for traditional woven mats is being undertaken, she learnt how to weave at a tender age and encouraged other women to partake this project

Touristic and educational

An outdoor unique traditional home set to showcase the Zimbabwe/African culture. Fresh breath taking. Have the kumusha (village home) feel.

Objectives

• AAUWENA is set to:
  • Identify, nurture, promote and market upcoming and disadvantaged artists and their families.
  • Fundraise and secure financial assistance from financial institutions, well      wishers as well as concerned institutions and cater for the welfare of artists and their families through use of the arts.
  • Establishment of an arts centre meant for training and marketing artists and their     products while the venture is not meant for profit making as proceeds would be donated to the needy is underway.
  • Aid any victim of any circumstance eg. The elderly, HIV and AIDS patients,    orphans, widows, hunger victims, drought victims, natural disaster victims,  through art fundraising all over the world starting with Zimbabwe.
  • Set up offices globally for all arts coordination and to cater for the plight of the needy.

• Encourage handicrafts people to be inventive and use environmentally friendly products thus constituting to the reduction of global warming. .
• Promotion of festivals as means to market artists and their products.
• Institute measures determined to fight against piracy of arts products and realization of copyrights and patents.
